With Liverpool’s USA Tour completed, they return to Anfield to host AS Monaco in a club friendly on August 9. This will give local fans their first live look at the revamped Reds, including Victor Muñoz.
Not Done Yet
Even though the Reds have signed Jeremy Jacquet and Muñoz, transfer rumors abound concerning Barcelona’s Ronald Araújo and Bradley Barcola. Multiple outlets are reporting these deals are near completion or already completed, but the club has yet to confirm these reports. Stay tuned to LFC Globe for updates.
Scouting Monaco
The French side has gone 2-1-1 in pre-season so far. They finished 7th on the Ligue 1 table last season and were led by American striker Folarin Balogun, who scored a total of 19 goals. Liverpool and Monaco will forever be linked as Reds legend Mohamed Salah came from Monaco to Merseyside in 2017.
Iraola’s Anfield Impression
This is Andoni Iraola’s first chance to make a good impression on the home supporters and he wants to make the most of it.
“I have experienced Anfield before from the other side, and that was pretty special (even if the results didn’t go the way I would have liked but I know that it will be a completely different feeling as the head coach of Liverpool, and that is something I am really excited for,” he said.
“I spoke when I first arrived at the club about emotion, about the connection between the players, the staff and the supporters. That is extremely important and will be even more so going forward. We want to give you guys a team you can really identify with and be proud of, and we will be doing everything we can, every day, to make that happen.

Now that the squad is back in Liverpool, it feels as if the season is closer than ever. All the players are back and can feature in the upcoming fixtures so we should get a clearer picture of how the Reds will perform in the EPL and other competitions. If reports are to be believed, we could be an important piece or two in the coming days. Exciting times for sure.
