Liverpool have a short turnaround after a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and face Fulham at Anfield on September 12th. The Cottagers are struggling right now as they are just one of two teams in the EPL, along with Coventry City, yet to garner a result. Therefore, it is important for the Reds to pick up a big three points in front of the home crowd.
Injury Update
Even though Andoni Iraola was hopeful as to Cody Gakpo’s availability earlier in the week, the Dutchman has been downgraded to doubtful vs Fulham with a muscle issue. The good news is that Bradley Barcola is a go after suffering cramps in the last match. Joe Gomez could also make his return, bolstering the defense.
The Not So Cozy Cottagers
As mentioned, Fulham have opened the season with three straight losses. They have only recorded 1 assist all season, so they prefer to be more direct in the attack. Josh King has two goals in three EPL matches to lead the squad. Iraola still has a great amount of respect for Fulham and believes they can be dangerous.
“I think they've played well in their three games, honestly – they've lost their three games by one goal,” Iraola said. “I think if you see a lot of the starts they have, if you don't know the points they have, you will think they will have four, five points at least because they've been controlling the games, they have 60-something per cent of possession. They've been quite comfortable on the ball, especially.”

LFC Globe Verdict
If Liverpool have hopes of winning the EPL, they have to dominate teams at the bottom of the table. That starts with Fulham. I expect several lineup changes due to the Reds having played in midweek, but Liverpool still have plenty of firepower to win this one 3-0.
