Liverpool U23s face Blackburn Rovers U23s in Leyland tonight as the young Reds look to get back to winning ways.
Blackburn U23 vs Liverpool U23
‣ 29 October 2018
‣ Lancashire FA County Ground
‣ Premier League 2
‣ Kick-off: 7pm (GMT)
Neil Critchley's side will be hoping to bounce back from their third defeat of the season against Derby County U23s last weekend.
Liverpool captain Matty Virtue gave the young Reds the lead at The Academy heading into the break, however a four goal thriller in the second half ended in the visitors taking all three points.
Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League 2 table after a disappointing start to the season that has seen them win just twice in eight games.
However, a fixture against Blackburn is the perfect opportunity for them to get back to winning ways and leapfrog Tottenham, who are two points ahead having played an extra game.
Blackburn are at the bottom of the league and looking likely to be relegated to division 2, having won none of their opening fixtures this season.
The game at Lancashire FA County Ground in Leyland takes place at 7pm, with live coverage on LFCTV starting at 6:50pm.
