Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the Reds in the first-half, effectively putting the tie beyond the hosts who needed to score four.

Mohamed Salah doubled the advantage just before the hour mark before Porto pulled one back via Eder Militao to give themselves a chance on the night.

The Reds made sure of victory as substitute Roberto Firmino netted 13 minutes from time, soon to be followed by Virgil van Dijk who headed home Liverpool's fourth of the night.

Klopp's side make it in to the semi-finals of the Champions League for a second consecutive season as they face a mouth-watering tie against Barcelona at the end of this month.

Liverpool return to Premier League action this weekend as they take on Cardiff City on Sunday, a day after title rivals Manchester City face Tottenham at the Etihad.
