Origi: I can't wait to begin Wolfsburg loan spell

Divock Orgi says he can’t wait to start his loan spell with Wolfsburg after the international break.

The Liverpool striker joined the Bundesliga outfit on loan this week after falling behind Dominic Solanke in the pecking order at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has plenty to choose from up top with Solanke and Daniel Sturridge currently pushing first-choice striker Roberto Firmino for a starting berth.

Danny Ings recently completed his first 90 minutes since suffering a serious knee injury last year too, and Origi ‘s game-time appeared to be limited this term.

After confirming his temporary switch to Wolfsburg, Origi posted on Instagram: “Excited to join @vfl.wolfsburg and to get the opportunity to play in one of the best leagues in the world in the @bundesliga_en

“Thanks to everyone at the club for the support so far and am looking forward to getting started after the international break.

“Good luck to @liverpoolfc and all of the #LFC fans this season too, I’ll be watching and supporting from afar”.

Speaking at his official presentation this week, Origi is quoted as saying: “For me, it’s one of the best leagues in the world.

“When Liverpool said they were ready to let me go out on loan, it was immediately clear Wolfsburg was the best option for me.

“I can hardly wait to get started. I’ll give everything to try and help the team be as successful as possible.”
