The victory will do well ahead of their next Europa League battle, this time coming against French side, Toulouse. While Liverpool have made a bright start in the new campaign where they've claimed six wins in their opening nine fixtures, the same can't be said for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Toulouse currently sits 10th in the league, having won just two of their first eight league games. They've scored just 10 goals but have conceded only nine in a defence that is certainly the best part of the team.
Despite their slow start, they've managed to hold both Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille to draws this season in what is their second season back in the top flight after their relegation in the 2021/22 season.
Their return to Ligue 1 last season was hugely successful as they claimed the Coupe de France, their first-ever top division title in the club's 86-year history. The trophy granted them admission into the Europa League where they sit second in Group E - two points behind leaders Liverpool.
The two clubs have met on two occasions in the past as Liverpool defeated the French side 1-0 and 4-0 in the final qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League in the 2007/08 season.
Toulouse will be hoping to be on the right side of history this time as they look to cause a shock at Anfield on Thursday, October 26 at 20:00 PM.
LFC Globe Verdict
Liverpool will once again make wholesale changes as per usual in the Europa League but their mix of youth and experience will keep them rolling on in the Europa League as I predict a 2-0 victory over Toulouse.
