‣ 2-0: Mohamed Salah (49′)
‣ 3-0: Mohamed Salah (58′)
‣ 3-1: Lucas Torreira (85′)
Liverpool are the only side to have won all their Premier League fixtures at the start of the season as they beat the Gunners at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were in control in the first-half but got their reward via an unlikely source in Joel Matip, who powerfully headed home from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner, four minutes before half-time.
Liverpool doubled their advantage early in the second half as David Luiz blatantly tugged away at Salah’s shirt, with the Egyptian stepping up to slam the ensuing penalty home.
It got even better for the home side just nine minutes later as Salah ran onto an excellent pass from Fabinho. He got the better of Luiz once again and cruised past Monreal, slipping the ball into the bottom corner to make it three in excellent fashion.
Arsenal had their fair share of chances during the game and got a late consolation goal via Lucas Torreira, who converted after the ball fell to him in the box via Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Liverpool keep their place at the top of the league table after three games, with Jurgen Klopp’s side looking to continue where they left off from last year.
