Liverpool have made 10 changes from their last match as most of the starters have returned to the lineup with Joe Gomez the only holdover. The EPL announced before the match that Jürgen Klopp will serve his one-match suspension today, so Pepijn Lijnders is in charge of the club.
As for Southhampton, new manager Nathan Jones looks like he will employ a defensive posture with only one striker and leading scorer Che Adams in the midfield.

LFC Globe Verdict
We all wondered when Klopp’s suspension was coming and it’s good to get it out of the way before the World Cup break, As expected, Liverpool fields much more of a normal lineup from the Carabao Cup as they need 3 points. It’s good to see James Milner return to the bench from injury. Let’s hope this lineup can grab this win that can propel the Reds to greater things after the break.
