Multiple outlets are reporting that Liverpool’s legendary goalkeeper Alisson Becker has signed a 3-year €15 million contract with Italian giant Juventus beginning next season. No official announcement has been made by the club yet, but the move seems imminent.
If Alisson does leave Merseyside at the end of the season, he will be one of the most successful Liverpool players to ever play between the pipes. The Brazilian goalie has 137 clean sheets across all competitions and has lifted many trophies. They include: two Premier League titles, a Champions League title, a Club World Cup, two FA Cups, and a pair of Carabao Cups.
Alisson has been equally impressive for the Brazilian national team, winning the Copa America in 2019 and earning World Cup starts in 2018, 2022, and presumably 2026.
LFC Globe Verdict
The changing of the guard continues on Merseyside. Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson have already announced they are leaving, and with this news, along with whispers concerning the future of captain Virgil van Dijk, will the Reds even be recognizable when they take the pitch for their first preseason friendly next season vs. Sunderland? The match will be part of the Reds' pre-season United States tour, and LFC Globe will be on hand for that first match in Nashville, Tennessee, to bring you player and coaches interviews as well as all the action.
