Liverpool and Fulham have a crucial match set for Anfield on Saturday, April 11th, as both teams are pushing for European qualification next season. Only three points separate the two teams on the table, so both sides will be desperately trying to secure all three points. In keeping with that theme, here are three things Liverpool need to do to secure the win vs the Cottagers.

Goals Galore

This fixture has a history of being a high-scoring affair, as each of the last four matches has featured at least four goals. In the last matchup at Craven Cottage, Cody Gakpo scored the apparent game-winner in the 94th minute only to be equalized by Harrison Reed moments later in a 2-2 draw. Add in the fact that Liverpool and Fulham are tied for the EPL lead in goals scored in the opening 20 minutes of matches with 18, so supporters should expect both goalies to be picking the ball out of the back of their nets.

Getting Defensive

Even though Arne Slot admitted in his press conference that Liverpool are the healthiest they have been all season, there are some major concerns on the back line. Jerimie Frimpong is not long back from injury, and he put in a tough shift defensively vs. PSG. It’s doubtful he can go again this weekend, so what do the Reds do at Right Back?

The injuries Liverpool do still have are on the back line with Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo, and Giovanni Leoni, so options are limited. For me, the answer is simple: Start Szoboszlai at Right Back!!!. You have plenty of midfield options who can distribute the ball or score themselves. As seen above, scoring should not be a problem in this fixture, so the key is to pair Robertson and Szoboszlai in the back to deal with the likes of Raul Jimenez and Wilson.

Take Advantage Of Anfield

Should Liverpool beat Fulham, it would be the Reds' 1,500th EPL victory at Anfield. The club have always received tremendous support from fans on Merseyside and have responded with 12 wins out of 15 home matches this season. Even with a planned protest over a ticket-price increase, which was reported by multiple outlets, the Anfield boost should be enough to carry the Reds across the line and secure all three points.

LFC Globe Verdict

I feel good about this one. I think the Reds, spurred on by the Anfield crowd, take out their frustrations on the Cottagers by a massive 4-1 scoreline. Let's jump on them early and don’t let up.
