Liverpool line-up vs Chelsea: Fabinho starts as Klopp rings the changes

Jurgen Klopp has made eight changes for tonight's Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea, as Fabinho makes his first start in a Reds shirt.

The Liverpool boss will hope his players can continue their winning run and carry on the momentum at the start of the season.

With Saturday's reverse fixture to come in the league on Saturday, Klopp has made wholesale changes to the side that beat Southampton on Saturday.

Simon Mignolet, ac confirmed by Klopp ahead of the game, starts in goal for the first time in eight months whilst Kamil Grabara is on the bench whilst Alisson is rested.

Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno start inthe rest of defence, with three of those making their first starts this season.

Fabinho will be the Reds' defensive midfielder, partnered with James Milner and Naby Keita, who has seen his minutes reduced in the past few weeks.

Xherdan Shaqiri joins Sadio Mane and Daniel Sturridge up front as Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are given a night off on the bench.

Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones, Joe Gomez and Dominic Solanke make up the rest of the bench.
