Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott will have plenty of momentum heading into the new season. That's because both players had a big part in securing the U-21 European championships for England.

Jones earned Player Of The Match in the Final, scoring the game-winner to top Spain 1-0.  In all, he made 5 starts during the competition, scoring two goals, and was also the Player Of The Match vs Isreal. As for Elliott, he saw crucial minutes in 5 matches off of the bench, scoring one goal in the group stage vs.Germany. As a result, the Reds' duo helped England capture their first U-21 European title since 1984.

This title bodes extremely well for the future of Liverpool football. Jones and Elliott are young stars of the game and I expect them to lift many more trophies for club and country throughout their careers.
