Liverpool vs Chelsea Half-Time Report: Reds Level at the Break

Liverpool got off to a flying start. Domonik Szoboszlai blasted a free kick into the Chelsea wall. The ball deflected to Rio Ngumoha, who slid the ball across to Ryan Gravenberch, who finished with a curling shot to give the Reds a 1-0 lead inside of 6 minutes.

Virgil van Dijk nearly scored off a corner in the 11th minute, but put a volley high. Marmadahvili made a big save in the 28th minute as Chelsea settled into the game. The goalie also claimed a dangerous ball moments later to keep the Reds in front.

The equalizer came on a free kick by Enzo Fernandez in the 35th minute as Liverpool, the Reds, looked very vulnerable in the latter stages of the first half.
