Alexis Mac Allister: career background and Liverpool milestones, with official sources and coverage through June 2023.
Brighton to Liverpool
Liverpool announced an agreement to sign Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion on 8 June 2023. He was the first addition of that summer, aged 24, and agreed a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee. Read Liverpool’s transfer announcement.
The season before his move
The signing followed Mac Allister’s part in Argentina’s 2022 World Cup victory and Brighton’s sixth-place Premier League finish. The club’s first interview records 35 league appearances and 10 goals for Brighton in that preceding season. Those figures describe his Brighton campaign, not a current Liverpool season.
