Fresh off England's win in the championship game of the European U-21 Championships, Liverpool's Curtis Jones was named to the “Team Of The Tournament”. Selected by a panel of UEFA Technical Observers, Jones was chosen as one of the 11 best players in the tournament, along with 5 of his English teammates.
During tournament play, Jones scored two goals, including the game-winner in the title match vs. Spain. As a result, he was named Man Of The Match. Jones and Harvey Elliott are expected to report to pre-season training on Friday, July 14 with the Reds' first preseason fixture to follow on July 19 vs Karlsrucher SC in Germany.
