Liverpool return to league action less than 72 hours after a rare home defeat in the Champions League as they look to return to winning ways with three points on the south coast.
While midweek's defeat stains the Reds' recent form, they have been in good knick over the last six weeks, with 8 games yielding six wins and two draws - the latter coming in tricky tests away at Goodison Park and the Etihad.

Despite injuries decimating the Reds' squad, Jurgen Klopp's side have done remarkably well to find themselves joint on points with Tottenham, who lead the table on goal difference.
Meanwhile, Brighton have picked up just nine points in as many games at the start of the campaign. While morale has been low, victory against Aston Villa in their last outing should put them in good stead heading into the clash.
While Klopp will undoubtedly rotate some of his key stars, Liverpool remain favourites to get back on track with three points against Graham Potter's side.

Liverpool have been handed a boost with the return of skipper Jordan Henderson, who joined first-team training earlier this week. But Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri remain sidelined in addition to the Reds' long-term injuries.
Neco Williams could continue at right-back, with James Milner an option in midfield should Henderson not be fit enough to start.
Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino should start after coming on from the bench in midweek, whilst Takumi Minamino could be given the nod ahead of Curtis Jones after the youngster's two starts in the past week.
