The EPL season opener is just around the corner (August 23rd at Newcastle). With that, our lineup predictor has been updated to reflect the signings and departures. It was bittersweet having to remove club legends like Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konaté, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, and others. On the other hand, adding Victor Muñoz, Ronald Araújo, and Jeremy Jacquet was just as exciting. It was also nice to be able to add old friends Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott back to the roster.
On paper, this Liverpool team looks very strong. When filling out the lineup, I had to leave several other players on the bench that most other clubs would love to have. That depth is a good safeguard because we all know injuries will happen throughout the year, and you can track them in our Active Injuries List. If Andoni Iraola can continue to trot out this type of lineup every match, Liverpool will be in contention to lift multiple trophies this season.
