Ryan Gravenberch celebrating his goal for Liverpool against Chelsea

Liverpool got on the board early thanks to a Ryan Gravenberch strike, but poor play in the back allowed Chelsea to equalize, and neither side could find a winner as the sides settled for a 1-1 draw.

  • Marmadashvili (?/10) Some big stops, but was rooted to the spot on Chelsea’s goal.
  • Kerkez  (5/10) His pairing with Jones did not pan  out as the duo allowed Chelsea way to much space to make runs at goal
  • Szoboszlai (7/10) Really strong second half. Forced a massive save.
  • Jones (5/10) Allowed Chelsea forwards to get behind him too often
  • Van Dijk (6/10) Worked in a good position to get a first-half shot but missed a sitter. Ok performance in the back
  • Konate (7/10) Best of the defenders
  • Gakpo (5/10)  Needed to have more touches in the attacking third
  • Ngumoha (7/10) One of the best players on the pitch. Surprised he was subbed off
  • Frimpong (6/10) Some nice runs in the box. Drew a yellow card
  • Gravenberch (7/10)  Sublime hit for Liverpool’s goal
  • Mac Allister (7/10) Really active in the second half, which drew the appreciation of the Anfield crowd

The Substitutes

  • Isak (5/10) Not really his fault, but this score reflects his performance in comparison to Ngumoha
  • Chiesa (6/10) Quiet day. Not really given a fair shake under Slot.
  • Gomez (6/10)  Solid in defense to help see out the draw

Man of the Match

  • Ngumoha

The Manager

  • Arne Slot (6/10) Strong Starting XI, but a head-scratching decision to sub Ngumoha off

LFC Globe Verdict

Probably a fair result as both teams had a goal disallowed in the second half. Even so, the Reds have to be disappointed to drop points against a struggling Chelsea side
