Confirmed Liverpool Lineup vs Brighton: Szoboszlai & Kerkez Return in FA Cup Clash

Published 14 February 2026

Dominik Szoboszlai returns to the confirmed Liverpool starting lineup against Brighton in the FA Cup.

Arne Slot made four changes as he tries to find a balance of resting stars and finding an FA Cup victory against Brighton. Dominic Szoboszlai returns from suspension, while Milos Kerkez, Curtis Jones and Federico Chiesa get the start.

Liverpool Confirmed Starting XI

Liverpool: Alisson, Van Dijk, Konaté, Kerkez, Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo.

The Substitutes Bench

Subs: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Ekitike, Robertson, Gravenberch, Nyoni, Ramsay, Morrison, Ngumoha.

Brighton Starting XI

Brighton: Steele, Dunk, van Hecke, Hinshelwood, Baleba, Kostoulas, Kadioglu, Gomez, Gross, Veltman, Howell.

Subs: Verbruggen, Rutter, Minteh, Welbeck, Milner, Boscagli, Mitoma, Wieffer, De Cuyper.

LFC Globe Verdict

Arne Slot showed he is serious about advancing in the FA Cup. He is surprisingly playing mostly top starters, but I’m sure the young guns will sub on at some point if the situation calls for it.
