capped an impressive first month at Liverpool by scooping the Reds' Goal of the Month on Wednesday.

The Egyptian wideman has hit the ground running at Liverpool since his £36.9m summer switch from Roma, racking up four goals in pre-season before netting in games against , Hoffenheim and .

And it was the strike against the Gunners in the 4-0 last month which has won top spot for the club's official Goal of the Month.

A blistering start to the campaign saw Jurgen Klopp's Reds score 14 in their five games in August - but it was Salah 's effort against Arsenal which has taken top spot - despite some worthy contenders from the likes of , Emre Can and Sadio Mane.

The jet-heeled Salah robbed Hector Bellerin of possession in the Reds' half before racing unopposed the entire length of the Arsenal half and calmly slotting past Petr Cech on August 27.

The award sees Salah pick up his second gong of August after his efforts were recognised with the club's Player of the Month award too.

Salah picked up 52 per cent of the 32,325 votes on the club's official website to fend off competition from Mane and Alexander-Arnold, who picked up 20 and 16 per cent respectively.

Rumours of a knee injury sustained on duty were dismissed by Egypt's team doctor earlier this week.

Mohamed El-Ela is quoted as saying: "There is no injury to Salah, he is completely ready for the match [against Uganda].

"Salah complained only after the end of the Uganda match, it was just a complaint no more and no less, and he is not injured."

The pacy winger is expected to play a part when Liverpool travel to on Saturday lunchtime.
