Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian will not be offered a contract extension to his current deal, with the shot-stopper set to depart Anfield this summer.
The 34-year-old signed a two-year deal at Liverpool as a free agent in 2019 following a six-year spell at West Ham United.
While Adrian capably deputised for Alisson during the early stages of last campaign and produced heroics during Liverpool's Super Cup win over Chelsea, he has quickly fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp.
Inconsistent performances, notably during Liverpool's Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid last year, along with injuries, has seen the Reds boss opt for 22-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher over the veteran goalkeeper.
While Liverpool have the option of extending Adrian's two-year deal by a further year, it's understood that this is an avenue the club have no intents to pursue.
Instead, Klopp is set to hand the full-time No.2 berth to Kelleher, with the youngster catching the eye with his assured performances between the sticks so far this season.
Alongside highly-rated Brazil U17 goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, who joined the Reds in October, the club believes they have the goalkeeper situation handled for the foreseeable future and would like to clear a path to the first-team squad for their up-and-coming prospects.
Adrian had previously reiterated his wish to eventually retire at Liverpool, although that appears highly unlikely considering the Reds' stance on extending his deal.

“I'm 33 and I hope to stay here much longer. Goalkeepers can endure more than an outfield player,” Adrian told Mundo Deportivo last summer.
“I have one more year of contract here, plus another optional one. This first season has been spectacular.
“In football, we don't know where we are going to be tomorrow. A year ago, I was without a contract. You have to enjoy this and live in the moment, but why not [retire at Liverpool]?”
Meanwhile, Klopp explained last month how Kelleher has already gained his trust, while also praising Adrian's response to falling further down the pecking order.
“Caoimhin is an exceptionally-talented goalie. But for goalies it's really difficult because they have to wait,” Klopp said.
“You can be exceptional and have to wait for a chance because there is only one goalie on the pitch.

“If one goalie plays for 10 years in a row it can be pretty difficult. You can be stood as the number two goalie and no-one can see [how good you are].
“Now he has got his chance and he has convinced everybody. He didn't have to convince us; obviously, we thought it would be like this, but he convinced everyone and that is good.
“But Adrian doesn't deserve just to write him off now. There is no reason for that.
“He is important to Caoimhin in an exceptional way. After he got the information he would not start, he was unbelievable, and I have a lot of respect for that. I expected it, actually, but I have a lot of respect for it.”
Adrian has made 23 appearances for the Reds during his one-and-half-year stint so far, with the likelihood of further games low given Kelleher's elevated status at the club.
